What Makes You More Successful !

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - People who sleep at the same time every night are healthier and more successful in life, according to new research.

Scientists at Brigham Hospital and Women's Hospital found that daily sleep routine was the key to success.

The researchers focused on sleep and biological rhythms, at 61 Harvard University graduates, for 30 days, depending on daily sleep rates, and then compare the data with academic performance.

Most students, who had irregular sleep patterns, had lower average scores than others. They also tend to take a nap often, and struggle drowsiness, because of the irregular secretion of melatonin hormone, which makes us want to sleep.

This study is one of the first studies, which accurately identified the effects of normal sleep patterns.

The researchers used the Sleep Arrhythmia Index (SRI) to test the relationship between the device, the duration of sleep and its distribution throughout the day, as well as academic performance in one semester.

Dr Andrew Phillips, a biophysicist in the Department of Sleep and Vascular Disorders, said regular sleep was an important factor in achieving better degrees.

The researchers concluded that spending more time outdoors in the sun and spending less time on computer screens at night could help improve sleep regularity.
